Job Description

To independently design, propose, develop and implement new approaches and innovative research projects to meet project and customer requirements. Identify new innovation opportunities for the expansion of Biology portfolio and technologies. Effectively manages their own time, able to work in a dynamic environment and balance multiple projects in parallel. To ensure maintenance of secure and accurate records of all project work and time spent working on allocated projects. Writes clear and concise reports for internal circulation and external publication. Independently evaluates, interprets, draws conclusions, and implements solutions. Actively expand knowledge on current and future projects and biology trends in the Drug Discovery industry To implement key software and IT design tools to process data and generate results.

Qualifications

At least 3 years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary research environment within the life science industry with relevant experience in cell-based assay development. Experience of cell imaging and/or mitochondrial cell biology would be an advantage.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

You will also be able to demonstrate good understanding of biology/biochemistry sufficiently to interpret routine results, develop assays in line with customer requirements and use problem-solving skills to propose alternatives.

You are a key team player with the ability to deliver results within tight deadlines. You possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, combined with a strong customer-focused approach.
