Requirements

  • Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Manage patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain during procedures
  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments
  • Obtain and verify patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitor physiological conditions
  • Perform clinical interventions as needed
  • Supervise and train anesthesia residents
  • MD/D.O. degree from an accredited college
  • ECFMG and FLEX certification
  • Completed approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
