Buyer required for busy engineering firm designing and building packaging machines typically for the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

Typical products and components required include electrical motors, conveyor belts, metal sheets, electronics, bolts etc

Please note this requires 5 days a week on site and It may be possible to work on a part-time basis.

Main responsibilities:

• Build and maintain supplier relationships
  
  
• Co-ordinate delivery
  
  
• Negotiate on price
  
  
• Chase up progress on orders
  
  
• Utilise MRP system
  
  In order to be considered you will need to demonstrate the following:
  
  
• Experience of buying engineering components
  
  
• An understanding of engineering with ‘technical nous’
