Business Development Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

We have partnered with a leading Pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) renowned for their expertise in packaging and manufacturing across the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food-grade product sectors. As the business expand further into the pharmaceutical industry, they have a strong growth strategy with a plan to significantly expand their production capabilities and headcount over the next five years.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join the team in Newcastle upon Tyne. This hybrid role offers flexibility with some weekly on-site presence required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the General Manager of the Newcastle site.

  • Selling the diverse services of the Newcastle facility.

  • Leveraging experience in liquid manufacturing within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • The ideal applicant will have both commercial and clinical manufacturing experience, but this isn’t essential.

  • Applicants must be based in the Newcastle commutable area, with clients located across the UK and Ireland.

    Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience in liquid manufacturing within the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Strong background in both commercial and clinical environments an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work as the sole BD representative for this particular site.

  • Flexibility to adapt to a hybrid working model.

  • Driving license and own vehicle is an advantage.
