As the Business Development Manager – Personal Care Products, you will spearhead client engagement efforts across the Cosmetic and Personal Care market, understanding technical requirements and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Marketing to deliver tailored solutions. Your focus will be on strategically growing BioIVT’s personal care business segment through relationship development, targeted account expansion, and market insight. You will be responsible for maintaining high client satisfaction, achieving regional sales targets, negotiating complex agreements, and upholding BioIVT’s professional reputation in the industry.


This role requires strong commercial acumen, scientific understanding of the product lines, and a customer-service mindset. Active participation in industry events, continuous learning, and a deep knowledge of BioIVT’s personal care offerings and market trends are essential.


Sales Target Achievement & Market Development

  • Achieve quarterly regional sales targets aligned with the corporate sales plan, with a specific focus on personal care products.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships through lead generation, cold calling, follow-ups, and relationship nurturing.
  • Tailor and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and solutions that align with client goals and showcase BioIVT’s personal care portfolio.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer pain points and match them to the appropriate products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to finalize contracts and ensure successful implementation of solutions.


Account Development & Strategic Growth

  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the expansion of the personal care market segment.
  • Working closely with Commercial Contract Manager to draft and negotiate comprehensive, customized proposals and contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members or cross-functional partners working in the personal care space.
  • Support strategic agreements such as MSAs and supplier agreements in coordination with legal and business development leadership.
  • Build and present scientific and commercial value propositions to customer stakeholders (R&D, Quality, Purchasing, etc.)


Client Experience & Education

  • Maintain regular communication and periodic check-ins with clients to ensure satisfaction and proactively resolve concerns.
  • Conduct educational initiatives such as webinars, workshops, or scientific presentations tailored to the personal care market.
  • Travel to client sites to strengthen relationships, analyze requirements, and present new opportunities.


Market Insight & Continuous Learning

  • Stay current on personal care industry trends, competitive intelligence, and scientific advancements.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and growth areas.
  • Represent BioIVT at personal care and life science industry trade shows, networking events, and conferences.


QUALIFICATIONS 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 


Education: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business-related field required; biology, chemistry, or biochemistry preferred.


Experience: Minimum of 5 years in sales or business development, with proven experience in personal care or life science product lines.


Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of cosmetic/personal care product development, ingredients, and scientific workflows preferred.


  • Demonstrated success in developing strategic accounts and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and proposal development software.
