TEAM OVERVIEW

The C3 BIOTECH team are industry leading chemists and biologists, as well as process delivery managers and engineers, working together to bring to market the production of clean and competitive fuels from biology.


ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly motivated person to join the C3 team who has expertise in business development. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, and driving the company’s market expansion. This role will involve travel in UK, EU and USA.


This full-time role, is based in the United Kingdom but will involve both national and international travel.

The Business Development Manager reports to the Chief Executive Officer.


WHAT WILL YOU DO

The Business Development Manager will support the C3 management team with developing the commercial direction for the company and it’s subsidiaries.


The Business Development Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Identifying, negotiating, and secure licensing with key partners in the biomanufacturing  sectors.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to penetrate global markets.
  • Managing relationships with partners.
  • Conducting market analysis to identify trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs.
  • Reporting to the C3 Executive. 


WHAT DO YOU NEED

  • A good scientific or engineering background and broad knowledge of an applicable industry domain
  • Experience in identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Skills in relationship management and client development
  • Ability to create strategic business plans and analyse market trends
  • Networking, presentation, negotiation and contracting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to deal with scientific and commercial issues authoritatively
  • Ability to understand and communicate key technological aspects of science and engineering
  • Ability to use own initiative, prioritise and work to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in the biotechnology or energy sector is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Team commitment and collaboration.
  • Professional manner and ability to build rapport.
