Job Description

Due to its exceptional growth, Eurofins Central Laboratory is looking to hire a dynamic individual to join their sales team in Europe.

The Business Development Director will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring new bookings targets are met for the assigned territories and services.
  • Calling upon his/her industry experience and abilities to initiate and develop productive relationships at all levels of complex, biopharmaceutical and CRO organizations.
  • Making sure new opportunities are generated and new bookings (contracts) are won for Eurofins Central Labs, including clinical biomarkers and anti-infective services.
  • Acting an advocate of prospect and active accounts to all key stake holders within Eurofins.
  • Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Development, Eurofins Central Laboratory, working closely with the Scientific Affairs and Proposals/Contracts team as key internal customers, and with Operational Teams as key contributors.

This is a remote position that could be based in any European country.



Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within clinical or central laboratory, clinical trials (CRO, trial supplies/logistics, e-Clinical) or relevant B2B project service (e.g. consulting) industry.
  • Proven track record of successes in new service contracts which demonstrate your growth progress throughout your years of experience.
  • Excellence in establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships, extending and maintaining a wide network of contacts.
  • Abilities to set goals and make plans that affect a group of people, relate to the entire process and have a time horizon of at least a few months to a year; apply time and resources by influencing people both within and outside the organization to achieve these goals; quickly overview complex situations, problems and processes; convert abstract issues into concrete actions and results, new methods and techniques.
  • Hunter mentality, motivation and drive to learn.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer focus and a strong can-do attitude.
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel for client interaction and conferences. Valid driving license.
