About the role:
Due to internal promotion, we are looking for an enthusiastic sales professional to support the teams at our busy Consett and Bishop Auckland branches. You’ll be joining one of the region’s leading builders’ merchants where our Branch Sales Managers are vital to developing our customer base and contributing to the success of our branches.
Generating leads, establishing new accounts and developing existing customer relationships, ideally you will have a proven track record in a sales environment with product knowledge developed from a merchant background.
With an eye for detail and the ability to identify new opportunities, you will look to exceed monthly targets maximising revenue with a focus on high value opportunities.
You will predominantly spend your time out and about on the road or at sites generating new leads, so you will need to have knowledge of surrounding regions and be well organised, efficient and personable.
Building solid working relationships with colleagues in the Consett branch and using it as a base when needed you will also provide internal sales support when required.
Please note, a full UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.
