Principal Biochemist - Scientific Consulting

Fantastic opportunity to join a successful pharmaceutical company based nr. London, supporting the development of the company’s drug pipeline.


Working closely within a team of Scientists you will use the latest SPR technology to study small molecule-drug target interactions as part of the company’s drug discovery & screening process. There will also be the opportunity to gain hands on experience with automation/robotics to achieve a high throughput process.


Responsibilities:

  • Running SPR-based fragment screens and characterising molecular binding and kinetics
  • Supporting screening cascades with thermal shift assays and other orthogonal techniques
  • Exploring how AI tools can enhance experimental workflows and data interpretation
  • Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver impactful results


Candidate profile:

  • A passion for biophysics and drug discovery
  • A solid understanding of Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) and other biophysical techniques
  • An adapatable, team orientated approach and a willingness to learn
