As a Biomedical Engineer for Sodexo based at MTS, you are also a problem solver and safety promoter. We will rely on your expert knowledge and medical equipment technical skills to provide planned and remedial repair on a wide range of biomedical devices on all specified sites. You will work closely with the account manager and/or the Biomedical Engineer Team Leader to ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are achieved, also completing associated administration relating to your daily activity. By keeping others safe, your actions have meaningful impact.

To be successful in this role, you must be a driver with a license for over 2 years. These are field-based roles as you will be out and about across customers and MTS sites. Relevant experience and excellent communication skills are key; you will support customers whilst building strong relationships including subcontractors.

For this role, you will possess a minimum of 1 year’s experience within a hospital workshop or field service environment, demonstrating hands-on expertise in maintaining critical systems. A minimum ONC/OND qualification in a related Engineering discipline is required, together with excellent customer relationship skills to ensure effective communication and service delivery. Strong PC literacy is also essential for managing systems and records, while the ability to manage heavy workloads and prioritize tasks effectively will be crucial for meeting deadlines and service requirements. Additionally, you must hold a full UK driving license to travel between locations as needed.

Main Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  1. Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of medical devices.
  2. Carry out Corrective Maintenance (CM) on a wide range of medical devices.
  3. Work to manufacturers specifications regarding their maintenance techniques.
  4. Complete all admin work associated with planned and remedial repairs on the company’s database.
  5. Work closely under the guidance of the Senior Biomedical Engineer.
  6. Exceed KPI targets to ensure customer satisfaction.
  7. Always maintain safe working practices and comply with the Health and Safety policy.
  8. Maintain stock levels of spare parts.
