Are you an experienced Biomedical Engineer? If so, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high performing team driving innovation and efficiency in healthcare service delivery.

Our client, a market-leading provider of Managed Equipment Services (MES) to the NHS and private healthcare sector across the UK, is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to join their team based in Oswestry.

With a strong track record spanning over two decades, they are partners with major healthcare providers across key clinical areas including radiology, radiotherapy, cardiology, endoscopy, and biomedical services. Their comprehensive service has positioned them as the UK and Ireland’s leading MES provider.

Purpose of the role

Provision of daily onsite medical devices repairs, preventative maintenance and asset management to contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within specified hospital location. Build long term relationships with customers, subcontractors and staff to ensure responsiveness and superior customer service.

Strict Candidate Requirements

Certified OEM trainings

HNC in Electrical Electronic Engineering or equivalent

Qualification in Engineering, electronics or medical technologies such as biomedical engineering

2 -5 Years UK-based experience in healthcare environment with experience on medical equipment

Familiarity with appropriate national and local regulatory standards

Worked in clinical environment and involving patient communication

Familiar with a broad range of medical devices

At least 3 years of Biomedical experience within the UK

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines

Support the site manager / team leader as required and in achieving contractual KPI’s.

Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines

Complete all associated administrative work in completing repairs and preventative maintenance as outlined in procedures.

Support customers whenever needed to ensure minimal disruption to the operation of the hospital.

Complete associated admin needed to close repairs and PMs as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures

In exceptional circumstances, travel to various sites as required to perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance

Maintain safe working practices within the hospital environment

Maintain spare part stock wherever necessary

Schedule and complete workload for customers within assigned area

Maintain service documentation in line with business requirements

Meet with OEM service staff and management when required

Maintain tools and test equipment in line with standards

Essential Qualifications/Skills

Certified OEM trainings

HNC in Electrical Electronic Engineering or equivalent

Qualification in Engineering, electronics or medical technologies such as biomedical engineering

Excellent Customer Relationship skills

Excellent written and oral communication

Good working knowledge of MS Office suite, Excel

Superior integrity and discretion
