Are you an outstanding and specialist Biology Teacher with a deep understanding of cutting-edge biological concepts, passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals? Our Outstanding school in the thriving London Borough of Havering is seeking a highly motivated Full-Time Teacher of Biology to join our dynamic and successful Science department from September 2025. This is a superb opportunity to deliver rigorous and engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE Combined and Triple Science), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level Biology).

In this crucial full-time role, with a significant focus on Biology at A-Level, you will:

  • Deliver Exceptional Biology Education: Teach challenging and fascinating Biology topics, from genetics and cellular respiration to ecosystems and neurobiology, fostering deep conceptual understanding and critical analysis in our students.

  • Broaden Scientific Horizons: Contribute to the teaching of Chemistry and Physics at Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring a comprehensive scientific education for all students.

  • Cultivate Advanced Practical Skills: Lead sophisticated practical experiments and investigations, building students' confidence and proficiency in advanced biological scientific methods.

  • Maximise Student Achievement: Be instrumental in ensuring excellent student outcomes in GCSE and A-Level Biology, preparing students for highly competitive university courses in medicine, veterinary science, biomedical sciences, and environmental fields.

  • Innovate within a Collaborative Department: Join a supportive and experienced team of specialist science educators, sharing expertise and contributing to the continuous improvement of the science curriculum and resources, particularly within A-Level Biology.

  • Inspire Future STEM Professionals: Play a key role in guiding students with an aptitude for biology towards fulfilling careers and further study, fostering their passion for scientific discovery.

    We are looking for a passionate and qualified Biology teacher with QTS and an excellent academic background in Biology. Proven experience teaching Biology to A-Level is essential, along with the ability to confidently teach across other science disciplines at Key Stages 3 and 4.
