Job Description

Mediplacements are recruiting for an experienced band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry for a locum role with our client located in Bristol. The pay for this position is £25 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Job Details:

HCPC registered specialist Biomedical Scientist for Automated Biochemistry with experience using BCUK AU5800, DxI 800, Diasorin Liaison XL, Vidas (bioMérieux), Northstar spectrophotometer. Support is required in the main lab for throughput and quality processes. Shift support will be necessary to help sustain out-of-hours operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests, including routine and specialized tests in the Biochemistry Department
  • Monitor and maintain quality control standards
  • Interpret results accurately and provide reports to medical staff
  • Maintain accurate records of tests performed, results obtained, and equipment used
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments

The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and have experience in Biochemistry.
