Position: Bioanalytical Scientist
Company:Kenton Black are supporting a leading pharmaceutical organisation which provides a wide range of laboratory services to support drug development to GxP.
The core purpose of the role will be to support client drug development projects by supporting in the delivery of various small molecule bioanalytical studies.
Bioanalytical Scientist Responsibilities:
- Perform LCMS-based bioanalytical assays to support drug development.
- Analyze biological samples to quantify drug concentrations and metabolites.
- Develop and validate LCMS methods in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize extraction techniques such as Liquid-Liquid Extraction (LLE), Protein Precipitation (PP), and Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) for biological matrices.
- Maintain and troubleshoot LCMS instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret and report analytical data with a high degree of accuracy.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and other relevant regulations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Proven experience with LCMS in an industry setting.
- Strong understanding of bioanalytical method development and validation.
- Experience with extraction techniques such as LLE, PP, and SPE for biological matrices.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA) for bioanalysis.
- Experience with Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) for Metabolite Identification (MetID) (advantageous)
- Previous line management experience (advantageous.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary:
- Senior Analyst (up to £30,000)
- Scientist (Up to £38,000)
- Senior Scientist / Team Lead - (Up to £45,000)
