Job Title: Band 5 Pharmacy Technician – Medicines Management
Location: Epsom
Contract: Full-time, 3-6 Month (with possible extension)

About the Role:
Tripod Partners are seeking a dedicated Band 5 Pharmacy Technician with experience in Medicines Management to join our NHS team at an Epsom hospital. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, with the potential for contract extension based on performance and service needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medicines reconciliation for newly admitted patients.

  • Review patient medications and provide advice to healthcare professionals.

  • Support the safe and effective use of medicines within the hospital.

  • Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring availability of medications.

  • Provide clinical support in the dispensing of medicines for discharge.

  • Perform regular medication audits to ensure compliance with guidelines and policies.

  • Provide patient counselling on medication use, side effects, and adherence.

  • Assist with the review and preparation of medication for ward stock.

  • Support ward-based clinical pharmacy services, ensuring medications are correctly administered.

  • Contribute to medication-related patient safety initiatives.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of medicines-related interventions and patient care.

    Essential Criteria:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

  • Experience in Medicines Management within a hospital setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
