Job summary
This role is for a Band 5 Medical Engineer to join our Team and will be expected to provide technical and engineering support as part of the Clinical Engineering service across the Trust. Assist other technologists and engineers in locating and tracking devices, servicing of medical equipment, carrying out basic servicing and planned maintenance as well as first-line troubleshooting.
For the first six months; the successful candidate will be dedicated to the Medical Equipment Library Service to support the launch of the service and provide technical support, maintenance and servicing for all medical devices managed in the Library Service.
Main duties of the job
Maintenance of registered devices in the Clinical Engineering database Support with technical, electrical, mechanical, integration, computer systems aligned with medical devices. Coordinate where appropriate maintenance of contracted medical devices as per service requirements. Work collaboratively as a Team in Clinical Engineering and across all interdependent areas accordingly Working off site will be required as part of the service

Qualifications and Training

Degree level qualification in Engineering (medical or biomedical engineering) BSc, Beng. Knowledge of medical devices and be able to identify medical devices

Registration as Clinical Technologist
