Job Description

This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) based at our Chadderton, Oldham location.

The Assistant Financial Controller will work closely with the Financial Controller to develop and implement financial strategy for the Company and also the rest of the Senior Management Team on the implementation of Company strategy.

As part of the role you will be preparing and consolidating appropriate, timely and relevant Management and Statutory Accounts for all Bifold Group subsidiaries including all supporting analyses and reconciliations, for detailed review by Financial Controller

Other Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Management and supervision of the finance team and ensuring all staff members are operating effectively
  • Ensuring all transactional records are appropriately maintained; accurate, up to date and in accordance with all Rotork Group control guidelines
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller to develop and implement financial strategy for the Company and also the rest of the Senior Management Team on the implementation of Company strategy
  • Ensuring all Bifold Group accounting procedures comply with Rotork Group guidelines RGAPP and GAG and all Internal Audit observations
  • Reporting of accounting information up to group via OneStream
  • Implementing and maintaining appropriate mechanisms for sales and cost reporting at a product and customer level
  • Monitoring cash levels in all company accounts and ensuring appropriate forecasting mechanisms are in place to maintain cash positions as targeted
  • Assisting with the preparation of business forecasts, QPRs and Budgets and variance reporting against them

Qualifications

  • Qualification of appropriate Accountancy board (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly Excel to Pivot Table / Vlookup / Macro level.
  • Staff management (role has direct reports)
  • Experience of working in a finance environment essential, preferably engineering/manufacturing
  • Experience working with ERP systems
