Job Title: Assembly Team Leader
Location: Leicester, LE3
Shift: 4-on / 4-off - 6am to 6pm
Salary: £14.00 per hour

    The Company:

    Our client is a market leading manufacturing company. With a strong presence in the packaging industry, they manufacture components for sectors including food & beverage, personal care, pharmaceutical, and industrial markets.

    The Role:

    Our client is currently looking for an experienced and proactive Assembly Team Leader to join their operations team in Leicester. This is a hands-on role, leading a team of operatives to ensure production targets, quality standards, and H&S requirements are consistently met across our assembly lines.

    Key responsibilities:

    Supervision and guidance - Oversee daily operations of the team of between 6 to 8 people. Supporting team members to achieve required tasks.
    Motivation and team building - Inspire and motivate team members creating a positive working environment.
    Task delegation - Assign tasks to the correct skill sets to ensure maximum production.
    Performance monitoring - Track performance and provide constructive feedback to improve productivity.
    Communication - Act as primary point of contact between shop floor and upper management communicating goals and expectations.
    Conflict resolution - Address and mediate any conflicts in the work force quickly and effectively to keep a harmonious work environment.Required Skills:

    Leadership skills - Strong ability to lead by example and create a cohesive team environment.
    Communication skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to have ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
    Problem solving skills - Ability to identify challenges spot bottle necks in production and plan accordingly.
    Time management - Proficient in managing and prioritizing tasks to meet orders and deadlines.
    Be computer literate and have basic knowledge of Excel.
