Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst. Location: Caerphilly, South Wales. Salary / Benefits £24k - £30k + Training + BenefitsA leading provider of Asbestos / Health and Safety services in the South Wales region are now seeking to take on a qualified and diligent Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their busy laboratory. The successful candidate will have extensive experience carrying out bulk sample analysis in line with HSG 248 guidelines, alongside ensuring the lab runs smoothly day to day by logging all samples that have been received by the lab onto internal systems, preparing samples for analysis, and following safe working practices at all times. Our client can offer flexible working to allow for a healthy work / life balance, generous salary, and opportunities for training and progression. Consideration will be given to candidates from: Cardiff, Rumney, St Mellons, Barry, Bridgend, Pontypridd, Newport, Cwmbran, Pontypool. Experience & Qualifications: " Holding the BOHS P401 is essential to the role. " Will have experience working hands on as a Lab Analyst for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Company. " Will have a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills. " Good IT skills. " Well versed in HSG 248 guidelines. " Excellent communication skills. The Role:" Receiving samples into the laboratory and ensuring to correctly log them onto internal systems. " Correctly labelling and safely storing samples. " Safely preparing samples for analysis. " Using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out sample analysis. " Carrying out safe working practices, ensuring the laboratory is tidy and all equipment is correctly calibrated to ensure accuracy. " Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines. " Carrying out routine quality checks. " Assisting in maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation. " Providing clients with accurate reports based of sample findings. " Liaising with clients to provide excellent technical support and advice.
