Bespak is looking for an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer for the Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary for this apprenticeship is between £25,000 plus a discretionary annual bonus. Our generous benefits package includes 28 days leave plus bank holidays, 8% company pension contribution to employees 3%, onsite parking and medical / dental / health / life assurance.
Working Pattern – Mon to Fri – 8am to 4pm – 1 day a week (Thursdays) will be at COWA Wisbech PE13 2JE. The start date for this role is September 1st, 2025.
Entry Requirements = 5 x GCSE grade 4 or above, including Maths, English and a science or a relevant Level 2/3 engineering qualification with a Maths and English grade 4 or above (or Level 2 functional skills).

You will embark on an apprenticeship to become a skilled Maintenance Engineer, learning through hands-on experience and formal training. Your primary responsibilities involve actively participating in training, completing coursework, and assisting experienced engineers with preventative maintenance and repairs. You will learn to diagnose faults, use various tools, and contribute to maintenance documentation, all while working collaboratively as part of a team and reporting your progress. You will diligently maintain a training logbook and proactively seek opportunities to enhance your skills.
As an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Attend and participate in all training provided.
  • Complete coursework and assessments for apprenticeship qualification.
  • Maintain a detailed training logbook and portfolio of work.
  • Follow instructions from mentors and management team members.
  • Assist engineers with planned preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.

  • Exhibits a keen interest in engineering.
  • Maintains good attention to detail in all tasks.

    We are a pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that offers development and manufacturing solutions for a variety of medications, including medical devices such as pressurized metered dose inhalers (pMDI), soft mist inhalers (SMI), dry powder inhalers (DPI), nasal sprays and medical check valves.
    King’s Lynn is a market town steeped in history with an hourly direct rail link to Cambridge (1 hour) and London (2 hours). The location is close to the beautiful Norfolk coastline and is an hour’s drive to the cities of Norwich and Peterborough.
