The MSAT lead will focus on performance,delivery, capability, development, and talent management to enablethe site to meet business goals. This individual will developstrategy for technical products at Barnard Castle, aligning withcentral teams and technical stewards. The director will lead a teamof technical individuals, focused on developing technicalcapability and future leaders within the technical organization.            KeyResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Ownershipof the core technical business processes for site Product LifecycleManagement (Technical Risk Assessment, Product Control Strategies,Continued Process Verification, Process Robustness Assessment), NewProduct Introduction, Scale Up and Technical Transfer to othersites/third party manufacturers. Serve as a member of the siteleadership team by supporting site initiatives, providing input tothe site strategic direction, and supporting matrix leadershipacross other core business functions. Oversee product technicallifecycle management with regards to process/yield improvement,process knowledge management, batch deviations, and ensuringaccuracy of regulatory CMC registered detail. Champion businesscases for manufacturing technology implementation or otherstrategic projects. Be accountable for activities to facilitateContinued Process Verification (CPV) for products manufactured atthe Barnard Castle site. Provide technical leadership for the rapidresolution of technical issues impacting supply through and productperformance investigations through use of root cause analysis (RCA)tools and appropriate Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA)and escalate key site technical issues to the wider GSC technicalcommunity for timely resolution. Serve as part of the GSK MSATcommunity, providing input to technical discussions and strategicprograms. Proactive Talent Management, including successionplanning and capability build within the MSAT team. Whyyou? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionalswith these required skills to achieve our goals:  Extensiveindustrial experience in technology/biopharmaceutical processdevelopment, technical project management and process transfer toproduction in a biopharmaceutical/biotechnology manufacturingenvironment. Prior experience leading groups in abiopharmaceutical/ biotechnology manufacturing environment involvedwith technology development and process transfer expected to exceed5 years. Prior experience with biopharmaceutical productregistration preferably with FDA and/or EMEA. Knowledge of currentGMP's, ICH Guidelines and FDA/EU validation practices forbiopharmaceutical processes required.  PreferredQualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it wouldbe a plus: Strong interpersonal and senior leadership skills.Committed team player prepared to work in and embrace a team-basedculture.
