About the rolePlay a crucial role in the functional and disability assessmentsprocess, a service that touches the lives of millions of people inthe UK. You will work autonomously to assess the cases of peoplewho are applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP)benefit or a Work Capability Assessment (WCA) as part of the DWPsHealth Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS). This will involveholding consultations and writing fair and accurate reports. Youwill only work to assess people for PIP or a WCA, not both. As partof your application process, we will advise you on which serviceyou will work on and discuss what your training will involve. Youdo not need to have worked as a Functional Assessor previously. Wecan support you in your career change with our accredited trainingprogramme and dedicated support structure.
