Global Accounts Payable Officer

Join our Finance team as an Accounts Payable/Treasury Accountant at our Haverhill manufacturing site on a temporary basis for 12 months.

The Accounts Payable/Treasury Accountant is This is a key role supporting the finance team's objectives and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations. It will involve processing and reconciling accounts payable transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with cash management activities such as bank reconciliations, payment processing, and liquidity forecasting.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.

The Accounts Payable/Treasury Accountant is responsible for managing the company's financial obligations and supporting treasury operations to ensure efficient cash flow and financial stability.

Your Responsibilities

You will:

Accounts Payable Responsibilities:

  • Managing Payments:Handle all outgoing payments, including vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
  • Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Reconciliation:Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Vendor Relations:Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate terms, and address any billing issues.
  • Compliance:Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Reporting:Prepare financial reports related to accounts payable activities

Treasury Responsibilities:

  • Cash Management:Support the company's cash flow, including managing bank accounts and ensuring sufficient liquidity.
  • Forecasting:support preparation of cash flow forecasts and financial projections.
  • Compliance:Support compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Reporting:Support preparation of treasury reports.

The EUROAPI Haverhill (UK) site has been established for forty years, located fifteen miles east of Cambridge and sixty miles north of London, within the golden triangle. It employs over 250 people and has built a strong reputation in Flow Chemistry, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Spray Drying and as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO). Haverhill is proud to house the world's largest, continuous production, pharmaceutical spray dryer and performs secondary packaging and release activities for oncology and rare disease medicines supporting global markets. The site also offers a contract testing and release facility within its laboratories.

Our Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CTP (Certified Treasury Professional would be advantageous
  • Proven experience in accounts payable & treasury functions.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative & supportive team player
