A career with Kerry offers you anopportunity to shape the future of food while providing youopportunities to explore and grow in a truly global environment.About the role We are currently recruiting for a multi-skilled orelectrically biased Maintenance Technicians to the join theEngineering Team at our Portbury production facility in Bristol.The facility is a dried blending and mixing production facilitywhere we create flavour blends for some of the world's best lovedbrands, 100's of tonnes of product are precisely measured, mixedand packaged every week. This is a permanent position, with a 3 or4 shift pattern – AM/PM/Nights/Days Key Responsibilities As aMaintenance Technician you will be responsible for: - Complyingwith the health and safety policy and regulations. - Resolvingbreakdowns, carryout PM’s and work on project / improvement workswith a view to minimizing production downtime. - Carrying out riskassessments with the relevant people and put controls in place tominimise the risk to acceptable levels where reasonablypracticable. - Lock off any dangerous machinery immediately/ orrepair and notify. - Actively seek to undertake PMs on offlinemachinery where time allows. - Fully complete PM sheets with allobservations, jobs completed and recommendations and file with theMaintenance Planner, whilst always looking at ways of improving toPMs. - Actively gain as much information as possible fromproduction personnel regarding the fault on the machine to speed upthe fault-finding process. - Ensure engineering log and computersystems are fully filled in with all relevant information includingPM numbers, all used parts, plant numbers, urgency of requiredparts, at the end of each shift. - Ensure all communications withexternal persons are conducted in a professional manner whichreflects the company profile. Qualifications, skills and experienceTo be successful in this role we are looking for the rightbehaviours and competencies as well as a proven track in a similarposition. The ideal candidate will ideally have the following: -HNC, City & Guilds or time served apprentice with appropriateelectrical engineering qualifications. - Experience within asimilar role ideally gained within a food manufacturingenvironment, if not food, experience within any manufacturingenvironment is highly desirable. - Electrically or biased, ormulti-skilled. PLC experience highly desirable. - Hydraulic andPneumatic systems experience highly desirable - Flexible approachwith a positive 'can-do' attitude. - Experience of SAP highlydesirable.
