Smile Education are proud to be the Managed Service Provider for the Shireland Collegiate Trust, meaning we are the only agency authorised to supply staff directly to the Trust’s schools. We are currently recruiting passionate and reliable Sports Coaches to work across the Trust on a long-term and flexible basis.

This is a unique opportunity to secure consistent work within one of the region’s most respected academy trusts, with the flexibility to work across multiple secondary settings while remaining within the same Trust network.

The Trust includes schools such as Shireland Collegiate Academy, Shireland CBSO Academy, Shireland Biomedical UTC, and Shireland Sixth Form Academy, all recognised for high standards, strong leadership, and a commitment to student achievement.

The Role

Delivering high-quality sports coaching across KS3 and KS4

Supporting PE departments within lessons

Leading extracurricular clubs and enrichment activities

Promoting positive behaviour and student engagement

Providing classroom cover where appropriate (experience dependent)You will have the opportunity to work across different Trust schools, gaining varied experience while maintaining long-term consistency.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience coaching young people (school-based experience desirable)

Ability to deliver a range of sports confidently

Strong behaviour management skills

Professional, adaptable, and reliable

Available for long-term and flexible workThis role would suit qualified sports coaches, sports graduates, aspiring PE teachers, or experienced cover supervisors with a sports background.
