Barron Williams have been retained to deliver this key search and selection instruction for our client, a global leader in the manufacture of generic medicines and biopharmaceutical products. With a global manufacturing network of over 50 sites in 33 countries, the Finance function plays a crucial role in meeting their commitments to patients by ensuring the efficient measurement of day-to-day operations and the production of crucial management information.
Our client is now seeking a Senior Manager, Finance to support the Finance Director on site at their large manufacturing facility in NW England. The role plays an essential part in supporting the delivery of medicines in their target global markets, inc. the US & Europe. As a genuine “Finance #2”, you will play an important role in reporting site performance, working closely with site colleagues across for all management functions. As part of the small, dedicated site Finance team, you will co-ordinate effectively with Shared Service support colleagues based overseas to deliver accurate, high quality management information in a timely manner.
You will be a qualified, experienced finance professional with a demonstrable track record in similar manufacturing settings, possibly but not necessarily including pharmaceutical production. Your experience should include; US GAAP compliance, budget preparation, use of relevant reporting systems (ideally SAP) and analysis of manufacturing operations issues (inc. product costings, production planning, stock reconciliations and international product distribution). You will work closely with the Finance Director and you will be expected to deputise for the FD when required in SLT meetings and in working with Group colleagues.

Key Deliverables:
· Play a pivotal role in ensuring that the site meets all of its operational & financial goals
· Provide the site leadership team with high quality management information and reports to inform key decisions (inc. capital investment, OPEX, CI initiatives, R&D and MS&T trials & NPL)
· Review, revise & maintain excellent financial systems & processes (SAP)
· Co-ordinate functional input to ensure the timely submission of the Annual Operating Plan (Budget)
· Ensure compliance in the monthly accounting process, in accordance with the Group financial timetable
· Provide financial input for key operational functions (distribution, product costing, stock valuations etc)
· Provide effective support in producing ad hoc reports relating to Projects and Corporate requirements
Candidate Profile:
· A qualified manufacturing finance professional (ideally CIMA with pharma manufacturing experience)
· Experience of producing relevant reports in MNC’s, i.e. product manufacturing for international markets
· Commercial and focused, can liase effectively with colleagues across all functions and management levels
· Will be an effective “Finance #2” who builds effectve relationships, able to deputise effectively for the FD
· Experience of activity-based costing, project accounting & other manufacturing-related reporting (SAP)
· An engaging, pragmatic and credible Finance professional, ready for your next challenge
