Senior Product Manager – Omics & Bioinformatics (Life Sciences)
Location: London (King’s Cross) or Stevenage | Hybrid (1–2 days onsite/week)
Contract Length: 6 months
Rate: £500–£520 per day Inside IR35

A global Life Sciences organisation is seeking experienced Senior Product Managers with a strong background in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Proteomics, and Data Visualisation. You will support a large-scale product strategy transformation programme, engaging stakeholders across the UK, US (East Coast), and Poland.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience shaping scientific data or omics-driven software products within a Life Sciences environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document existing product use cases, business processes, technical specifications, usage metrics, and non-functional aspects.

  • Analyse the current (AS-IS) product landscape and user workflows.

  • Identify customer needs and recommend transformation strategies for legacy omics/bioinformatics products.

  • Develop clear and thorough product requirement documents aligned to existing processes.

  • Deliver outputs based on priority and agreed timelines.

  • Act as the intake point for business requests across assigned product domains.

  • Map stakeholder influence and communication needs.

  • Define and execute tailored engagement strategies.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including planning sessions and stand-ups.

  • Serve as Product Manager throughout the full development lifecycle.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, science, and data teams to ensure timely delivery.

    Must-Have Skills

  • Experience working within a Life Sciences organisation in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Proteomics, or Data Visualisation

  • Strong business use-case analysis and user interview skills

  • Stakeholder mapping and requirements documentation

  • Working knowledge of modern software product development

  • Familiarity with Cloud platforms

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Agile delivery experience

  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
