This position is responsible for leading and managing a small team of Computational Scientists, supporting the Pharmaceutical Development team with a focus on PBPK/PBBM modelling and simulation. This position can offer the opportunity to work on a unique proprietary modelling system which is accelerating clinical drug development.


ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Provide scientific and technical leadership and management to a team of Computational Scientists in PBPK
  • Lead the execution of client and internal research and development projects in the field of computational pharmaceutics
  • To be the recognised point of contact for problem solving in the field of PBPK
  • Author and review computational reports for scientific and technical accuracy and to review reports from other teams
  • Present results to internal and external stakeholders, including clear communication of technical challenges, in a solution-oriented manner



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & RELEVANT SKILLS EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION

  • PhD in related discipline with track record of implementing PBPK models in drug development
  • Proven experience in software such as GastroPlus, Simcyp, MATLAB or Python to develop and utilise PBBM/PBPK models
  • Drug product development using modelling methodologies such as PBPK/PBBM
  • Drug product regulation and approval using modelling and simulation tools (i.e. interactions with regulators and authoring of regulatory documents)
  • Proven team management experience and working with various stakeholders at different levels across multiple departments
