Microbiologist Technician – Sidcup

Part-Time | 3 Days per Week (Tues – Thurs) | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Based at our vibrant Sidcup site, you'll contribute to innovation, protect product integrity, and collaborate across teams—all within a fast-paced, industry-leading FMCG environment.

What You'll Do:

Be the Microbiologist Technician on-site, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You'll:

* Run microbiological testing on products, raw materials, and the environment to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.

* Partner with R&D and Production teams to support the safe launch of new, sensitive products.

* Investigate and resolve microbiological deviations, using your expertise to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

* Improve site microbiological validation—covering hygiene, equipment, and CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems.

* Monitor site-wide microbiological trends, proactively identifying and addressing potential contamination risks.

* Keep the lab running at its best—managing equipment, inventories, and embracing new technologies to enhance efficiency.

What You Bring to the Table:

* Experience in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.

* Previous experience in an FMCG, beverage, or food production lab (preferred but not essential).

* Solid understanding of microbiological methods, food safety, and lab best practices.

* A proactive, methodical mindset with excellent time management and communication skills.

* Enthusiasm for collaboration, continuous improvement, and scientific curiosity.
