Job Title: Lead Patent Paralegal
Reports to Managing Patent Attorney
Department: IP
Hours: Full time – 35 hrs per week
Location: UK – White City / Hybrid from home office
Autolus is a biopharmaceutical company, advancing innovative therapies at both clinical and commercial stages of development, focused on next-generation, programmed T cell therapies for the treatment of cancer. Using a broad suite of proprietary and modular T cell programming technologies, the company is engineering precisely targeted, controlled, and highly active T cell therapies designed to better recognize cancer cells, break down their defence mechanisms, and eliminate these cells. Autolus has a pipeline of product candidates in development for the treatment of haematological malignancies, solid tumours, and autoimmune diseases.

Role Summary
To support the IP team in the management of the Autolus IP portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance of the internal document management system: uploading incoming correspondence, official communications, and other documentation
Maintenance of the internal case and task management system: creating cases for new filings, entering and tracking due dates
Liaising with the Accounts, Procurement, and Legal teams to onboard new service providers
Communication with local and overseas attorneys; scientists and tech transfer managers
Demonstrated skills and competencies

Experience
Knowledge of all aspects of patent filing and prosecution, including priority and International filings, national/regional phase entry and renewal fees –E
Experience of managing an IP portfolio and monitoring deadlines –E
Qualifications
Skills/Specialist knowledge
Highly organised and with excellent attention to detail
Ability to prioritise work, work under pressure and be flexible as part of a small team
Have drive and energy to help implement new IP-related company procedures
Good verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to liaise proactively with colleagues and external IP attorneys
