ROLE SUMMARY

The Partnerships & T&C Lead is a senior commercial leader responsible for shaping and executing the international partnerships and tender & contract (T&C) strategy across the Global Hospital & Biosimilars (GH&B) International portfolio.

Reporting directly to the International Commercial Lead, this role provides above-market leadership for the governance and management of strategic partnerships across key international markets. The role balances external partnership management with disciplined oversight of tender and contract opportunities, ensuring alignment with GH&B’s international growth priorities while maximizing commercial value and market access.

The Partnerships and T&C Lead works closely with Global Tenders & Contracts (GT&C), regional commercial leadership, Global Commercial Excellence & Innovation team, and market teams to review and align tender and contract opportunities within the market, ensuring decisions are consistent with GH&B international strategy and portfolio priorities. This includes enabling markets to pursue the right opportunities, structuring partnerships that strengthen market presence, and ensuring robust governance and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.

Operating in a highly matrixed environment, the role influences country and cluster leadership, global platform teams, and enabling functions to drive consistent partnership strategy, disciplined tender participation, and effective contract execution across the international GH&B footprint of 100+ markets.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide above-market leadership and oversight for international partnerships across GH&B markets, ensuring alignment with Global Hospital & Biosimilars strategy, portfolio priorities, and commercial growth objectives

  • Own the governance of strategic partnerships in relevant international markets, ensuring partnerships are structured to maximize long-term value, market access, and portfolio performance and executed in line with GH&B strategy

  • Drive the review and prioritization of tender and contract opportunities across markets in collaboration with Global Tenders & Contracts (GT&C), ensuring opportunities pursued align with GH&B international strategy and portfolio priorities

  • Establish clear governance and decision frameworks for tender participation and contract opportunities, enabling consistent evaluation of commercial value, risk, and strategic fit across markets

  • Partner with Country, Regional and Cluster Leadership to align partnership structures, tender strategies, and contract execution with market realities while maintaining global commercial discipline and portfolio focus

  • Act as the primary commercial interface with GT&C and relevant global stakeholders, ensuring strong coordination, transparency, and alignment on major tender and contract opportunities across the international GH&B footprint

  • Provide visibility to the International Commercial Leadership Team on key partnership opportunities, tender pipelines, strategic risks, and trade-offs, enabling informed decision-making and proactive management of growth opportunities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Requires deep knowledge of the Global Hospital & Biosimilars portfolio and strong understanding of commercialization dynamics across both hospital and biosimilars markets, including tender-based access models and partnership-driven distribution structures

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed, international environments, including collaboration across markets, regional leadership, and global enabling functions

  • Strong commercial judgment with demonstrated experience evaluating partnership opportunities, tender participation, and contract structures to balance growth, access, and margin objectives

  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority across countries, clusters, and global functions to align on partnership strategy and tender participation decisions

  • Strong financial and strategic acumen with the ability to assess the commercial value, risk profile, and long-term implications of partnership, tender, and contract opportunities

  • Experience working with tenders and contracts in international markets, including engagement with tender governance processes and coordination with global tender and contracting teams

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex market inputs and translate them into clear recommendations for leadership decision-making across partnership and T&C opportunities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree preferred

  • Generics portfolio commercial experience

  • Portfolio management experience

  • Business Development experience

  • External engagement experience of engaging with international government agencies
