Your Role:

EIT are seeking an experiencedInfrastructure Engineer to design, implement and support secure, reliable and scalable IT infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid-cloud and cloud environments. Working closely with Network Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Software Engineering teams, you will maintain core server, storage, virtualisation, backup and cloud services supporting enterprise applications, scientific research and AI workloads.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain server, storage, virtualisation and cloud infrastructure.
  • Administer Windows Server, Linux and Microsoft Azure services, including identity and access-management components.
  • Manage VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter environments.
  • Support core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, backup, disaster recovery and monitoring.
  • Manage server patching, upgrades, lifecycle replacement and capacity planning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, problems and service requests.
  • Maintain secure infrastructure configurations in line with cyber-security and audit requirements.
  • Support hybrid-cloud connectivity and integration with OCI, Azure and other cloud services where required.
  • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks and operational procedures.
  • Identify and deliver infrastructure automation, resilience and service-improvement opportunities.
