About ICO

Pfizer’s International Commercial Organization (ICO) plays a pivotal role in enabling the International Vision for Growth, with Marketing as a key catalyst. ICO drives the execution of this vision through three core areas:

  • Capital allocation, as the go-to team for strategic investment prioritization and resource optimization, and

Role Purpose

TheICO Obesity Commercial Vice President is a senior leadership role accountable for delivering category P&L performance across all International markets for Pfizer’s forthcoming Obesity Portfolio. This is an exciting new role reporting to the President, International Commercial Office that will shape from the start, Pfizer’s entry into the Obesity category and define our long term portfolio play in this category across the ex US International countries. The role ensures development and execution of the global/regional brand strategy and informs capital allocation decisions. As the strategic leader of the Obesity Category, this role drives growth, excellence in execution, and team capability across geographies. The role plays a critical part in bringing the ICO Three-Year Plan to life and shaping clear strategic direction for our Obesity portfolio across international markets to contribute to the region’s 2030 vision for growth. This leader works closely with International LT to identify and unlock growth opportunities and ensure that our launch successes are exceeding industry and analyst expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Category Development: Build the Obesity category and associated strategy for the International region as we enter into this critical market. Defining our long term strategy for entry to the market through existing and potentially acquired assets. Define the go to market model (pricing, access and channel) to build category leadership over the next decade and establish Pfizer as a leader in Obesity.

  • Execution: Develop and execute category leading Consumer engagement to support strong consumer awareness, access and Rx compliance. Ensure strategy reflects country needs and dynamics and translates into impactful local execution.

  • Category Performance Leadership: Post launch ensure strong performance of the Obesity category across International markets and lead timely interventions to mitigate risks and capture growth opportunities. Drive forecast accuracy and commercial performance versus targets across priority brands and markets. Reports monthly on performance at the International region Performance meeting/Cockpit.

  • Capital Allocation and Investment Decisions: Inform cross-country and brand-specific capital allocation, leveraging market insights and performance trends. Recommending trade off proposals to drive short/long term goals and P&L value.

  • Portfolio and Brand Oversight: Provide leadership across the full Obesity portfolio and partner with CSI and Global Marketing teams to ensure that the needs of International are captured in clinical development plans, global marketing strategy and campaigns and pricing/access strategies with Global Access and Value teams. Guide lifecycle management, launch readiness, and portfolio prioritisation for the region. Ensure acceleration of new product launches through early insight integration, launch excellence, supply readiness with PGS and tight cross-functional coordination. Build Business Development opportunities to address growth opportunities and portfolio dynamics.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Orchestrate collaboration across Marketing, Medical, Finance, Access, Global, and Country teams to deliver aligned and integrated business plans. Act as a constructive challenger to ensure ambition, focus, and accountability across countries.

  • Thought Partnership and Governance: Serves as a strategic thought partner to Global and Country teams, bringing an Obesity lens to cross-portfolio decision making and international wide priorities.

  • Team Leadership and Talent Development: Build and lead a senior leadership team of Marketing colleagues. Cultivate a culture of performance, empowerment, and development.

  • Customer and Market Insight: Elevate the customer voice and local market needs to influence brand strategy, content design, and launch execution. In particular ensure that a strong Consumer strategy is built and associated platforms to enable differentiated offering and ease of access. Embed measurable engagement and metrics into execution strategies to ensure consumer-centered activation and continuous improvement.

  • Digital & AI Leadership: Lead the integration of digital innovation and AI-driven solutions across the Obesity Category to enhance commercial impact. Champion modern commercial engagement by leveraging omnichannel campaign execution, asset reuse strategies, and personalization at scale.

  • Strong track record in building brand strategy, launch execution, and Consumer marketing and activation in particular.
