Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to join a globally recognised, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical as their Head of Global Health Economics & Value Strategy. In this high-impact leadership role, you will shape and deliver global health economics strategies that drive pricing, reimbursement, and patient access across multiple therapeutic areas.

Your work will go beyond building models, you’ll be leading a function that ensures innovation is translated into evidence that payers trust and patients depend on. From cost-effectiveness and budget impact models to early economic evaluations and HTA submissions, you’ll provide the insight and direction that ensures therapies are not only scientifically strong, but demonstrably valuable to healthcare systems worldwide.

This is a role where payer expectations and patient outcomes come together to shape strategy. You’ll play a pivotal part in turning innovation into access, backed by a global organisation that combines the resources of a large company with the agility of a biotech.

Hybrid Working

This position follows a hybrid model, offering flexibility to work from home while also collaborating in person at the office on a periodic basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the charge in developing cost-effectiveness and budget impact models, ensuring affiliates are equipped with tools that strengthen HTA submissions and payer negotiations.
  • Shape global evidence strategy by embedding payer and HTA perspectives into integrated evidence generation plans across the portfolio.
  • Engage and influence externally through payer advisory boards and collaborations with leading health economics experts, refining modelling approaches and advancing methodologies.
  • Guide and empower your team with the right expertise, tools, and support to deliver high-quality outputs consistently and efficiently.
  • Drive operational excellence by overseeing budgets, performance, compliance, and resource planning across a complex, global remit.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in health economics with a strong track record of developing cost-effectiveness and budget impact models.
  • Deep understanding of international HTA requirements, pricing, and reimbursement processes.
  • Ability to translate complex clinical and economic data into strategies that resonate with payers, policymakers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a matrix or global environment, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Health Economics (or equivalent) strongly preferred.

Additional Information

  • Permanent, full-time role based in the United Kingdom.
  • Hybrid working model: flexibility to work from home, with occasional in-office collaboration (minimum once per quarter).
  • International travel required. Candidates must be within commutable distance of the UK office.

What My Client Offers

  • A unique opportunity to shape how breakthrough therapies are valued and accessed on a global scale.
  • A collaborative and international environment where innovation and evidence meet to drive real-world change.
  • The chance to grow your leadership while making a tangible impact on healthcare systems and patient lives.
