An established international organisation is creating a brand‑new Global Manufacturing Strategy Director position, appointed to the Global Supply Chain Senior Leadership Team.

This is a rare opportunity to shape and lead manufacturing strategy at group level, with full accountability for global network design, operational excellence, capital investment and long‑term scalability across a diverse manufacturing footprint.

The Role

You will set and execute the global manufacturing strategy, balancing long‑term strategic planning with hands‑on leadership across operations. The role has significant influence across the business and plays a central part in future‑proofing manufacturing capability worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

Defining and owning the global manufacturing network strategy

Leading make vs buy decisions, network optimisation and capacity planning

Driving global operational excellence and Lean transformation programmes

Full ownership of capex governance, prioritisation and multi‑year investment planning

Supporting M&A activity through manufacturing due diligence and post‑acquisition integration

Partnering closely with senior stakeholders across supply chain, quality, finance and commercial functions

Leading and developing large, multicultural teams through transformation and change

About You

You will be a senior manufacturing or operations leader with a strong track record operating at international or multi‑site level within a regulated environment.

Key experience includes:

Significant leadership experience across global or multi‑site manufacturing operations

Proven success shaping and delivering global manufacturing strategies

Strong knowledge of GMP and global regulatory frameworks, including FDA and EMA

Deep exposure to capex planning, network design and operational excellence programmes

Experience leading large teams through change and transformation

A strategic, commercially minded approach with strong financial acumen
