You'll be joining a global pharmaceutical company with a strong UK presence who are expanding their clinical development capabilities. To do this they are heavily investing in new technology and data platforms.You'll work within a growing R&D and technology function supporting global clinical operations through the delivery of modern, scalable, and compliant systems and data solutions.
Your new role
This is a permanent position leading complex clinical technology transformation and data migration initiatives across the clinical trial ecosystem. This is a highly visible role working closely with Clinical Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and technology stakeholders globally to ensure business-critical systems and data are successfully transitioned and optimised.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end clinical technology migration and modernisation programmes across Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), eTMF, study startup, and related clinical applications
- Driving data migration activities including mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, archiving, and cutover planning
- Supporting acquisitions, integrations, system consolidations, and collaborative study initiatives whilst ensuring business continuity and data integrity
- Partnering with business stakeholders, CROs, vendors, and technical teams to deliver compliant and scalable technology solutions
- Contributing to clinical technology strategy, integrations, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing multiple projects, vendors, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery
What you'll need to succeed A successful candidate will combine strong clinical technology expertise with proven programme delivery and stakeholder management capabilities.You should have:
- A BSc / MSc / MBA / MEng (or equivalent experience) in a scientific, technology or business discipline
- Significant experience supporting clinical trial technology platforms within pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, healthtech, or clinical research environments
- Proven track record leading clinical technology migrations, integrations, or large-scale data transfer programmes
- Strong understanding of clinical trial systems, data governance, validation, regulatory compliance, and GxP requirements
- Experience working with platforms such as Veeva Vault, CTMS, eTMF, Siebel CTMS, or related clinical development systems
- Ability to engage and influence business, quality, regulatory, operational, and technical stakeholders across global organisations
- Strong project leadership, vendor management, and problem-solving capabilities
Experience with the following would be an advantage:
- Supporting acquisitions, divestitures, or system consolidation programmes
- Clinical technology roadmap, architecture, or digital transformations
- Validation activities, regulatory inspections, or audits
