HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist - Haematology (Band 6 or 7)

Location: Epsom, Surrey

Contract: Temporary - Up to 6 Months

Hours: Monday to Friday

Start: ASAP

Are you an experienced HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist with strong haematology skills? We're supporting a leading NHS laboratory in Epsom who are looking for an experienced BMS to join their team on a temporary basis for up to 6 months. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy, high-performing haematology department while working with a friendly and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform routine and complex haematology investigations to a high standard

* Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot haematology analysers

* Participate in blood film morphology and specialist haematology techniques

* Work in accordance with ISO15189 standards and departmental SOPs

* Ensure accurate documentation and quality control procedures

* Contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient-focused laboratory service

Requirements

* HCPC registration - essential

* Band 6 or Band 7 experience within Haematology

* Strong routine and specialist haematology knowledge

* Experience with common haematology analysers (e.g., Sysmex) - desirable

* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team

* NHS laboratory experience preferred
