Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various scientific disciplines, including Biochemistry, and possess the ability to engage students effectively. This role involves educating students in a laboratory setting, fostering a love for science, and encouraging critical thinking and scientific inquiry.
Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations to enhance students' understanding of scientific concepts.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide mentoring and tutoring support to students who require additional assistance in their studies.
• Assess student progress through regular testing, assignments, and feedback, ensuring all assessments are fair and constructive.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects that integrate science with other subjects, including Maths.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in scientific research.
• Support students with special educational needs by adapting teaching methods and materials accordingly.

Requirements

• A relevant degree in Science or Education with a focus on scientific disciplines.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques and experience in mentoring students.
• Proficiency in conducting laboratory experiments safely and effectively.
• Excellent proofreading skills for preparing educational materials and assessments.
• Ability to engage students through innovative teaching methods that promote curiosity about the natural world.
• Experience in tutoring or providing additional academic support is desirable.
