A prestigious organisation at the intersection of creativity, education, and technology is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of IT to lead its digital transformation and infrastructure strategy. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic, operational, and cybersecurity oversight of a dynamic IT department serving both staff and students. You’ll lead a team of IT professionals and collaborate across departments to develop and implement IT strategy, strengthen cyber resilience, and ensure the delivery of exceptional IT services. This role reports directly to the executive team and plays a key part in digital governance and risk management. Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary IT team spanning operations, delivery, and business applications. Shape and deliver the organisation’s IT strategy in alignment with its broader goals and digital ambitions. Maintain and evolve the IT infrastructure, ensuring resilience, scalability, and modernisation through technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Hyper-V. Oversee all network, server, and endpoint systems, including Windows environments, SQL Server, and cloud platforms. Drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity, ensuring up-to-date policies, regular training, and breach response readiness. Manage supplier relationships, licensing agreements, and IT budgets with a focus on value, performance, and accountability. Collaborate closely with peers in creative technology, finance, HR, and external networks to share insights and align strategic priorities. Promote a culture of service excellence, inclusion, and digital innovation across the organisation. Security Tools : McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, Microsoft Defender, endpoint protection solutions Networking : Applications : SQL Server, SCCM, PowerShell scripting, service desk management tools Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within a complex or highly regulated environment. Strong background in infrastructure planning, security strategy, and enterprise-level IT operations. Adept in managing IT budgets, procurement processes, and strategic partnerships. Deep understanding of cyber security risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance requirements. industry certifications (ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco) are highly desirable.
