We're looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our awesome team. As Head of Engineering, you’ll be responsible for scaling up Hoxton Farms’ cultivated fat production from our pilot facility to full-scale manufacturing. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll work closely with the leadership team to shape the company’s roadmap, drive major engineering build projects and ensure our production capability keeps pace with our commercial goals. From deciding the scale-up strategy to delivering our next facility, you’ll have end-to-end responsibility for how we turn science into scalable, sustainable food. Hoxton Farms is growing quickly as we scale up our pilot manufacturing facility in London and build plans for large-scale manufacturing in the UK and overseas. You should be a highly experienced leader with a proven track record of hiring engineers, managing projects and developing strategy in a commercial setting. The role is based full-time in person at our HQ in London and will involve travel to oversee contractors, partners or facility builds when needed. We are willing to support international relocation. Hoxton Farms grow cultivatedpork fat, a healthy and delicious ingredient for the food industry.Cofounded in 2020 by Max Jamilly and Ed Steele, weare building the world'smost scalable and cost-effective tech stack for mammalian cell biomanufacturing – and we’re monetising it with a premium B2B ingredient.Hoxton Farms have commercial traction with meat/CPG companies including some of the largest food companies in Asia. We opened a pilot production facility in London in 2023.
