The Global Client Product Development (CPD) leader is responsible for leading our client-focused product development teams globally. In collaboration with our commercial team, PLM org and GPD, this role facilitates the development of innovative processes and techniques for new developments across various clients and product lines.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Commercial teams to cultivate product opportunities, driving strategic initiatives and achieving global sales targets.

  • Ensure CPD teams effectively manage the end-to-end product development process, from client briefing to artwork creation, costing/pricing, sampling, and final approval.

  • Develop processes to ensure CPD teams guide clients towards optimal solutions for their branding requirements by gathering detailed product specifications for new programs or modifications to existing programs, and proposing re-engineering options to meet target pricing

  • Partner with GPD teams to establish global procedures and escalation protocols to ensure efficient deployment of new items into production.

  • Implement a robust process utilizing established tools, guidelines, and escalation procedures for pricing.

  • Ensure teams actively engage in store audits, client meetings, and the development of the sales narrative as necessary.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends and product advancements to effectively assist clients in leveraging Avery Dennison solutions.

    Qualifications

  • Relevant business qualification.
  • Minimum of 15 years of solid experience in commercial/product development, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity overseeing a global team, preferably within the Apparel industry.

  • Demonstrate a strong passion for product development and a commitment to staying abreast about market trends and product insights.

  • Proven expertise in leading large, diverse teams within a demanding and dynamic environment.

  • Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to excel in a collaborative, matrixed organizational structure, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and global functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive and manage organizational change while achieving tangible results.

  • Exhibit strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
